100th episode of PM’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ to be telecast live in Raj Bhavans across India

The most popular program on All India Radio, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s ‘Maan Ki Baat’ will complete 100 episodes on the 30th of April 2023. To celebrate this milestone the 100th episode of the radio program will be telecast Live by Doordarshan and  a grand event will be hosted by Raj Bhavans across India. The Raj Bhavan, Mumbai is also hosting a program with the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Ramesh Bais as Chief Guest.

Citizens from across Maharashtra who have been mentioned by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in previous editions of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ will be special invitees at the event. These include persons from different backgrounds and age groups.  From Kamya Kartikeyan who conquered Mount Aconcagua at the age of twelve to pensioner Chandrakant Kulkarni who has pledged to contribute five thousand from his monthly pension of sixteen thousand towards cleanliness drive. The achievements of these special invitees traverse the globe. From achievements of tribal persons from regions of Palghar, Chandrapur and Nashik to achievements of Hitendra Mahajan and Mahendra Mahajan in far off lands like United States.  Persons from different professions and walks of life belonging to Maharashtra have participated enthusiastically in ‘Mann Ki Baat’. Forty-Seven of them will have the unique privilege of attending the program in Raj Bhavan in the presence of the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Ramesh Bais. Along with them Padma Awardees from Maharashtra and eminent social workers, businessman and  film industry celebrities will also grace the event.

The Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office Pune is organising a Photo Exhibition on‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on the lawns of the Raj Bhavan, on this occasion.

Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation, Amit Shah and Union Minister for Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Piyush Goyal will also be in Mumbai, on the occasion of the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat. While Shri, Amit Shah will watch the live telecast from Keshavrao Ghaisas Sabhagruha, M.L. Dahanukar college in, Vile Parle,  Mumbai,  Shri Piyush Goyal will celebrate the occasion and watch the live telecast from Thakur Village, Kandivali, Mumbai.

 

Projection mapping at Gateway of India

Apart from this, the Culture Ministry has planned to celebrate the occasion in a momentous way through state-of -the -art projection mapping shows at 13 iconic locations including ASI monuments located across the country commencing on 29th April, 2023. Gateway of India in Mumbai, Maharashtra is one of the selected thirteen locations. The projection on Gateway of India will showcase the historic, architectural importance and the distinctiveness of the region on the lines of diverse topics and themes addressed by the Prime Minister in his show ‘Mann Ki Baat’. The event will be open for the public from 5 PM onwards. The show will highlight the theme of ‘Mann ki Baat’ along with the historical and architectural marvel of the monument, in the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.

 

About Mann Ki Baat

The popular program on All India Radio, Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat was started on 3rd October, 2014 and is broadcast on last Sunday of every month at 11 AM on the entire AIR and DD network. The 30 –Minute program is completing 100 episodes on 30th April 2023. ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is translated by AIR into 22 Indian languages, 29 dialects and 11 Foreign languages, apart from English. It includes Hindi, Sanskrit, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannad, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Odiya, Konkani, Nepali, Kashmiri, Dogri, Manipuri, Maithili, Bengali, Assamese, Bodo, Santhali, Urdu, Sindhi. The Dialects include Chhattisgarhi, Gondi, Halbi, Sargujia, Pahari, Sheena, Gojri, Balti, Ladakhi, Karbi, Khasi, Jaintia, Garo, Nagamese, Hmar, Paite, Thadou, Kabui, Mao, Tangkhul, Nyishi, Adi, Monpa, Ao, Angami, Kokborok, Mizo, Lepcha, Sikkimese (Bhutia). Through the program, the Prime Minister aims to have a dialogue with the citizens and also highlight inspirational ideas and initiatives in an effort to promote citizen centric governance.
