The Food Corporation of India (FCI) South Zone has been promoting sports by offering stipend to the young, upcoming talented sports personnel especially those belonging to backward rural areas.

Meritorious sports personnel belonging to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Puducherry, Lakshadweep & Andaman & Nicobar Islands in the age group of 15-18 and 18-24 years who may be a student / non-student from rural/urban areas for stipends in various disciplines for the year 2023-24 can apply for the following sports:

(i) Football (Boys), ii) Hockey (Boys), iii) Cricket (Boys), iv) Table Tennis (Boys & Girls), v)Shuttle Badminton (Boys & Girls), vi) Weightlifting (Boys), vii)Athletics (Boys & Girls), viii) Swimming (Boys & Girls).
