Oragadam is a rapidly developing area due to industrialization.   Several companies are situated in the area. Being industrial hub with floating population, there is a need to improve the postal facilities.  Keeping in view of these factors into consideration, the Postal Department has upgraded the existing Mathur Branch Post Office into Oragadam Delivery Sub Post Office at Oragadam area w.e.f.  31.03.2023. 

The new Oragadam Delivery Sub Post Office will cover the adjoining areas like Mathur, Oragadam, Karanithangal, Chennakuppam, Vaipur, Vadakkal, Vallam, Vallakottai, Veipur, Eraiyur andEraiyurMottur.

          The post office will be functioning in Bhuvaneshwari nagar, Oragadam with the working hours from 09.00 to 17:00 Hours. The pincode of the new delivery sub office is 602 118.The computerized new post office will provide all kinds of postal facilities to the public like posting of unregistered mails, registered letters, Value payable letters, Value payable parcels, Registered parcels, Speed post, Money orders, collection of PLI, RPLI insurance premiums, Core Banking Services, all IT enabled services, IPPB services, Savings Bank and Saving Certificates to the general public.

          The new post office was inaugurated by Smt.J.Charukesi, Chief Postmaster General, Tamilnadu Circle on 31.03.2023 in the august presence of,  Shri.G.Natarajan, Postmaster General, Chennai City Region, Shri K.Somasundaram, Director of Postal Services, Chennai City Region and Shri.G.Babu, Superintendent of Post Offices, Kanchipuram Division.

          The residents of the locality, Commercial establishments and educational institutions are requested to utilize the postal services offered from this new post office.
