Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), New Delhi, celebrated the World Down-Syndrome Day by organizing a free Webinar for about 1.5 hours, open for all, in association with Down-Syndrome Federation of India. This was first such attempt by RCI on this special occasion to grant CRE scores to CRR professionals on a web platform. Webinar was addressed by renowned team of four experts from across the India and it was attended by about 1000 professionals, personnel, parents, children with down syndrome, self advocacy and interest groups and others from across the country. The webinar was very interactive with a small Q&A session at the end. Key- symptoms in children with down-syndrome that can be detected by parents, availability of tests of early detection of down-syndrome in fetus during pregnancy, corrective surgeries available, organs requiring special attention and check-ups, achievements of down syndrome children.  Sri Rajesh Aggarwal, I.A.S., Chairperson, RCI & Secretary, DEPwD and Ms. Rekha ramchandran, President, DSFI also addressed the gathering on the importance of day and efforts of RCI to partner with influencers and active organizations for this noble cause.
