Department of Computer Science, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur is conducting a National Conference on Youth Advanced Computational Convergence (YACC – 2023) on 21st and 22nd March 2023 in sponsorship with Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi.

The inauguration of the conference was held today (21.03.2023) in the seminar hall of RGNIYD. The chief guest of the conference inauguration was Prof. Lalit Kumar Awasthi, Honorable Director, National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand.

Dr.P.Thiyagarajan, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Computer Science and organizing secretary and convener of this conference welcomed the gathering and in a nutshell briefed about the national conference.

The presidential address was delivered by Prof. Sibnath Deb, Honorable Director of RGNIYD. In his address, he emphasized that conferences in the field of computer science are highly required to be conducted in higher educational institutions as this subject is dynamic and the concept which is new today is old tomorrow in computer science. In such a rapidly changing field, he pointed out that this conference will benefit students, scholars and faculty to know what is happening in the field of computer science in a holistic manner.

Prof. Lalit Kumar Awasthi, Honorable Director, National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand delivered the inaugural address in which he congratulated the director, RGNIYD and the Department of Computer Science for organizing this conference. In his address he threw lights on machine learning and artificial intelligence and its influence on human life.

Prof.Sanjeev Kumar Sofat, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh delivered a special address in which emphasized the need of securing data in the digital world and the latest developments in cyber security.

In total 10 technical sessions are planned in the conference including the inaugural keynote address. The resource persons of this conference are from reputed academic institutions and industries across the country. In total, 21 papers and poster presentations from students and scholars from various educational institutions were accepted for this conference after thorough review. The proceedings of the papers submitted for this conference is released in the form of a book with ISBN by the Prof. Lalit Kumar Awasthi and Prof.Sanjeev Kumar sofat in presence of Prof. Sibnath Deb Director, RGNIYD.

The conference was attended by more than 100 students, scholars and faculty of various educational institutions.
