The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying is implementing Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) & Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Fund (FIDF) under Fishery sector and Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS) & National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD) under Dairying sector, for the development of Fisheries and Dairying respectively in the country.

PMMSY envisages inclusive development and women beneficiaries provides 60% Government financial assistance against the 40% assistance provided to male beneficiaries. The scheme implemented by Department of Fisheries are primarily demand driven and viable proposals received from States/ UTs are supported and no specific gender budgeting has been made.

This information was given by Shri Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
