The annual cultural fest of NITPY “LECIEL 23” was conducted under the patronage of   Dr. K. Sankaranarayanasamy, Director, NIT Puducherry from 3rd march to 4th march, 2023. The fest was organized by NITPY Cultural Committee with the guidance of Dr. Narendran Rajagopalan, Associate Professor, Department of CSE, Dean Student Welfare and Registrar of NITPY               Dr. Sundaravarathan S.

Dr. A. Venkadesan, Associate Professor and Head, EEE Department was the chairman and convener of the fest. Dr. Kumaran.P, Assistant Professor, CSE Department and Dr. Krupa Shah, Assistant Professor, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences were the member and coordinators of the fest. All the students of NIT Puducherry especially the cultural committee/various club student heads, members, volunteers and student’s council took the initiative and worked hard to assist the faculty and staff members and made this event an unprecedented success.

LECIEL 23 is sponsored by Yaxley Global, Locus Institute, Pepsi, Green trends, Yamaha, Shanthi Jewellers, JV Cycle and Fitness, SBI, Townscript. The fest has been inaugurated on 3rd March at 10.30 am in the presence of Chief Guest Kalaimamani Dr. Chithira Gopinath, Director, Nattiyalaya Bharathanatyam Academy, Karaikal and guest of Honour “Karthikeyan Thamizhselvam”, Director, Yaxley Global, Pondicherry.

LECIEL 23 witnessed registrations from more than 15 colleges from in and around Karaikal, Pondicherry and Chennai. The fest had many exciting events like singing, dance, music band, art & crafts, Photography and literature competitions. Many on-line events are also organized during the fest. The fest had proshows like Music Band by Lohar the Blacksmiths Streat Entertainments, Bangalore, DJ by DJ Ricky Brown ft. Liquid Percussionist Nash. The fest attracted more than 100 participants across Puducherry and Tamil Nadu state.
