29th Convocation of Pondicherry University is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, the 28th February 2023 at Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium, Dr. B R Ambedkar Administrative Building. 

His Excellency the Vice President of India Shri Jagadeep Dhankhar has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest and deliver the Convocation Address and will inaugurate the four new academic buildings.

During this 29th Convocation, 237 candidates will be conferred with Ph.D. degree and 189 Gold Medals will be awarded to the candidates who were toppers in various disciplines like UG/PG/Ph.D. programmes in person.  31,857 candidates in total will be conferred with their degrees in various disciplines. 21,208 regular students and 10,649 Directorate of Distance Education students, totaling to 31,857 students will be receiving their Degrees in the 29th Convocation. 

The University is making all the necessary arrangements to celebrate the most prestigious and auspicious day of students life.
