Based on intelligence, one male passenger holder of Indian Passport arrived from Bangkok by Flight no/ TG337 dated 06.12.2022 was intercepted by the Chennai Air Customs Officers. On examination of check in luggage, the following exotic species were found and seized under the Customs Act, 1962 read with Wildlife Protection act 1972:

The above mentioned species with serial no.1 will be deported back to Bangkok via Thai Airways flight.

Further investigation is under progress, according to a press release issued by Dr.M.Mathew Jolly, Pr.Commissioner of Customs, Chennai International Airport.
