STATE-LEVEL PAINTING COMPETITION ON ENERGY CONSERVATION-2022 ORGANIZED BY POWERGRID

As a part of the National Campaign on Energy Conservation, the Ministry of Power, in co-operation with Bureau of Energy Efficiency [BEE] and other CPSUs, have organized a Painting Competition in two Categories i.e Category-A for st", 6" & 7h Students and Category-B for 8t, 9th & 10h Students through Schools as well a5 to the students who have registered directly. The objective of conducting painting competition for the School Students of these classes is that, once the students of this age participate, automatically their family members as well as teachers will also be involved for the better performance of the child. While doing so, slowly the awareness of Energy Conservation would be inculcated by one and all. In the first phase, out of the paintings submitted online throughout the State, the best 55 paintings have been selected in each category to participate in the State Level Painting Competition Among these entries, the 55 best paintings from each category were selected by an Expert Committee, comprising renowned persons in the field of Arts Drawing and Officials from Education Department, and participants were called for participating in the State Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation at Chennai. The State Level Painting Competitions were conducted at "Vivekananda Auditorium", Anna University, Guindy Chennai in the forenoon on 14.11.2022 There was an exemplary response from the participants and their parents & guardians.

Thiru R Velraj, Vice Chancellor, Anna University, Chennai presided over the Valedictory function as a SPECIAL GUEST and gave away the cash prize to the winners of this State Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation. The prize money for both the categories is as follows:

First Prize: Rs.50,000/-, Second Prize: Rs.30,000/- Third Prize Rs.20,000/-

10 Consolation Prizes: Rs.7,500/- each

1st Prize U Shriharini, Amrita Vidyalayam, Coimbatore

2nd Prize Neha P, Adwaith Thought Academy, Coimbatore

3rd Prize SV Shri Hanu, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dharmapuri

Category-B

1st Prize G.C.Mugesh, Senthil Public School, Salem

2nd Prize D Neya, Montfort Mat Hr Sec School, Chennai

3rd Prize PRHarsha Varthan, DAV Sr. Sec Sehool, Chennai
