Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur (IIIT, Nagpur) to celebrate its 2nd Convocation Ceremony on 28th Oct. 2022

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur (IIITN) is one of the 20 Indian Institutes of Information Technology established under the Public-Private Partnership Scheme by the Ministry of Education (formerly Ministry of Human Resource Development), Government of India. IIITN has been declared as an “Institution of National Importance” under the provisions of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (Public-Private Partnership) Act, 2017.

 

IIIT, Nagpur will observe its 2nd Convocation ceremony on 28th October, 2022 at 11.00 AM. The programme is organized at its Permanent Campus -behind Br. Sheshrao Wankhade Shetkari Sahkari Soot Girni, Village - Waranga, Butibori, Dist.- Nagpur.

Dr. Anand Deshpande, Founder, Chairman & Managing Director, Persistent Systems Limited will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. 

The Institute is getting good response from the students aspiring to enter into the field of Information Technology & Allied Services.

Interdisciplinary Academic Curriculum is the USP of the Institute. Students are offered a number of interesting combinations of minor / major courses which provide them an opportunity to get exposure to interdisciplinary subjects. 

The Institute is attracting a large number of coveted companies on campus and provides one of the most promising placements and internships. It is having one of the best Placement Records with about 93% placement and highest annual package of Rs. 40 Lakhs and average annual package of Rs. 12 Lakhs for the 2022 Batch. 

With the introduction of four new branches and considering existing two branches, the Institute is expected to have about 1200 students from the Academic Year 2022-23 onwards. As on date, the Institute is proud to have more than 460 Alumni in the form of UG Students, PG Diploma Holders and PhD Scholars who have completed their studies and started serving the Industry / Community. 

The Institute is committed on social front also and has done tree plantation in association with HCL Foundation and AROHA, an NGO and has already planted more than 900 trees in the Campus.

In its 2nd Convocation, IIIT Nagpur will confer degrees to:

• 4 Ph.D students
• 142 B.Tech Students  in CSE & ECE
• 70 PG Diploma students in Information and Communication Technology. 

Further, IIIT, Nagpur shall be conferring Institute Academic Excellence Award & Award of Merit to its Meritorious Student viz. Ms. Ayushi Tandon (CGPA:9.37) and Mr. Arun Das (CGPA: 9.36) respectively.
