Neyveli Lignite Corporation India (NLC India ) , a Central PSU under Ministry of Coal and  Kerala State Electricity Board have signed an agreement to purchase 400 MW of electricity from Nei Veli Lignite Corporation India's Talabira, Odisha project.

NLC India Chairman Rakesh Kumar and KSEB Chairman Rajan N Kobraghate signed  the contract in the presence of State Electricity MinisterSri.  K. Krishnankutty. CG Jose, Director - Generation, Electrical) and  Shaji John, Director (Power), NLCIL. 
 were also present on the occasion. Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation and the Pondicherry Electricity Department had earlier signed an agreement to purchase electricity from the Talabira project.
