Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs Shri. V Muraleedharan will inaugurate  'Sree Chitra Conclave 2022' on October 17. The event  organized by Sree Chitra Thirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram will be held at 9.30 am at Achuta Menon Auditorium, SCTIMST. The theme of the two-day conclave is “Medical Device Transition Vision Towards 2047”

State Public Education Minister Shri V  Sivankutty, Health Minister Smt. Veena George,  Dr. Shashi Tharoor, MP, Union Secretary of Science and Technology Department Prof. S. Chandrasekhar  and  Director General  of Health Services Prof. Atul Goyal, will be special guests at the opening ceremony. Dr. VK Saraswat,  President, SCTIMST will preside over the function.

Former Secretary, DST, Govt. India, Prof. Ashutosh Sharma will deliver 5th G. Parthasarathi Oration on the occasion.  The theme will be :‘Science and Scientists in the New Millennium: A Short History of the Future’ .

The two day conclave will bring together various professionals on a single platform to meet the technological challenges in the healthcare sector of the country. The main attraction of the conclave is special sessions with technical presentations by experts in the fields of Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Radiology, Anesthesiology, etc. After each technical briefing session, white papers will be  published outlining strategies to strengthen the country's healthcare equipment industry.
