National Statistical Office, Government of India is conducting Annual Survey on Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE) 2022-23 during October 2022 to September 2023.  This Survey will be devoted exclusively to economic and operational characteristics of unincorporated non-agriculture establishment in manufacturing, trade and other services sectors.

Unincorporated sector is an integral part of Indian economy, which not only comprises of large number of establishments but also generates a large number of employments. Besides, its contribution to Gross Domestic Product of the country is also significant.  Unincorporated sector has tremendous potential to grow higher. This necessitates the need for reliable and comprehensive data pertaining to the unincorporated sector for planning and policy formulations. This will help the National Accounts Division (NAD) of NSO to compute important components of national accounts. The data to be collected through this survey will help in meeting the requirements of different Ministries and Organizations. The survey will be carried out all over India except in the villages of Andaman & Nicobar Islands which are difficult to access.  

To discuss the various aspects of survey, a three-day conference for officials of National Statistical Office (NSO), Field Operations Division (FOD), Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation who will be conducting the survey in the Western Region of Gujarat will be held from 28^th September, 2022 in the Regional Office, Ahmedabad. The conference will be inaugurated by Shri S.K. Bhanawat, Dy. Director General & Regional Head of the Gujarat (Western Region) of the Field Operations Division (FOD) of NSO. Shri R S Jagtap, DDG and other officers from Data Quality Assurance Division will also participate in the conference. Survey related concepts, definitions etc. will be mainly discussed by Deputy Director Shri Jayaprakash Honrao alongwith Senior Statistical Officers Shri Ajay Kumar Yadav, Shri Ajay Kumar Meena and Shri Praveen Kumar Meena.

The Information collected pertaining to an individual or establishment in the survey will be kept confidential and will not be revealed to anybody, including other Departments. The General Public is requested to extend their fullest co-operation by providing relevant, valuable and factual information to the visiting field officials of NSO (FOD) and contribute in the Nation Building Process.
