As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations, a Mini Marathon “Run for Freedom” was organised on  06 Aug 22 at “INS Shivaji Lonavla” in association with State Bank of India.

The event was overwhelmingly subscribed with more than 500 runners participating in 07 categories in the event including ladies and children in the age group of 5-18. The event also saw wide participation from Defence Civilians and runners from  Lonavla Municipal Corporation, Police Training Centre, Khandala and State Bank of India.

The patriotic fervour and salubrious climate of Lonavla filled the participants with Josh and cheer which was evident at the finishing point. The event provided opportunity to foster camaraderie and esprit de corps among the station personnel.
