‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign by Department of Post


15100 flags have been available in Goa Division for sale at Rs. 25 per piece

Under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a campaign “Har Ghar Tiranga” has been launched by the Government of India to encourage the citizens to hoist the National Flag of India in their homes to instill a feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and reminisce the contribution of those who tirelessly worked for building the nation. It is envisaged that all citizens be encouraged to hoist Tiranga in their homes during the period from 13th August 2022 to 15th August 2022.

In view of the vast network of DoP, the Govt of India has entrusted the distribution of National Flags through the DoP to enlighten the citizens of the importance of the campaign and supply the National Flag to each and every corner of the country. The National flags have been supplied by the Postal Directorate, out of which 15100 flags have been received in Goa Division for sale at Rs. 25 per piece. The National flags have been distributed to post offices including branch post offices in remote villages, hence made available for sale to the citizens for serving the purpose of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign.

For spreading awareness on the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign flex banners have been displayed in 7 main post offices in Goa Division which includes Panaji, Margao, Vasco, Curchorem, Ponda, Bicholim and Mapusa Post Office. Banners shall be displayed in all post offices for effective awareness before 10th August 2022.

The Goa Postal Division organized  prabhat pheri  as a part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to enlighten the public on the importance of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign wherein Shri Nilkanth Halankar, Member of Legislative Assembly of Tivim constituency had been welcomed and participated for the initiative.

Selfie points shall be set up at Panaji H.O. and Margao H.O. where citizens approaching the head office shall be motivated to take selfies at this point and share it on social media  handles by tagging Indiapost and Amrit Mahotsav handles with hashtags #Indiapost4tiranga and #HarGharTiranga.
