Directorate of Cashewnut and Cocoa development, Kochi, under the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, has started a scheme to extend financial assistance for establishment of small and big cashew nurseries (7.5 - 20 lakhs per nursery) in Kerala in the form of a back-ended subsidy. The objective of the programme is the production and distribution of good quality planting material to meet the requirement of high yielding varieties for new planting/replanting of cashew in the country.

 

Registered/approved private and specified nursery owners who own suitable land for raising nursery can apply for availing assistance under this scheme.
