Students of Punjab successfully completed their 5-day visit to Visakhapatnam as part of Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat.

The 5-day students exchange programme under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav concluded at Visakhapatnam on Saturday with 52 students from Punjab’s Lovely Professional University left for their home state.

The students from Punjab arrived on a 5-day tour on 5th July to Visakhapatnam at Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology.  The students exchange programme aims at developing a sense of nationalism among the youth being promoted by Ministry of Education.

The students from Punjab had the chance to have a first-hand exposure to the cultural ethos, traditions, languages, dialects, handicrafts and art forms of North Andhra regionduring their visit to Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam. They were also taken to industries and public sector institutions to have an understanding on their functioning.The young people also visited places of tourist attractions and tasted multiple cuisines of the region.

Addressing the young students, Anil Sahasrabuddi, Chairman of All India Education Council told them to be aware of the rich cultural heritage of India and its traditional values. He hoped that their stay was fruitful and enlightening in understanding the true spirit of India. 

Principal,Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology, V.V. Rama Reddy, Vice-Principal and NSS Programme Officer Dr. Haribabu Tammineni participated in the assembly and thanked the All India Board of Education for selecting their institution to host the students. Joint Commissioner of National Education Mrs. Neeta and Lt. Kamal, Amarjeeth, Meenakshi Verma also participated.
