APEDA facilitates export of Alphonso, Kesar & Banganapalli to USA

After a gap of nearly two years, the export of Indian mangoes is gaining momentum again. The first batch of the mango season facilitated by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority reached the United States of America on 11 April 2022.

Alphonso, Kesar & Banganapalli varieties of mangoes were exported by M/s Guru Krupa Corporation after packing & irradiation at APEDA approved facility. APEDA organises various export promotion activities including Virtual Trade Fairs, Farmer Connect Portal, e-office, Hortinet Traceability system, Buyer Seller Meets, Reverse Buyer Seller Meets, product specific campaigns etc. to promote exports.

APEDA has been working closely with state government for creating infrastructure for promotion of export from the state. APEDA promotes exports of agricultural & processed food products by assisting exporters in infrastructure development and market accessibility. In addition, APEDA also conducts international Buyer Seller Meets (BSM), Virtual trade fairs with importing countries to promote agricultural & processed food products.

 

APEDA, a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, is the nodal agency for promoting Indian agro and processed food exports and is responsible for facilitating and promoting export of horticulture, floriculture, processed food, poultry products, dairy and other agro products.
