Shri. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Union Minister for Heavy Industries, on a visit to HMT Machine Tools Ltd, Bengaluru Complex on 11th April, 2022, inaugurated HMT CNC Profile Surface Grinding Machine, designed and manufactured by HMT Machine Tools Complex Bangalore. The Minister complimented the technical capabilities and expertise of its skilled workforce in developing import substitution machines under the PM’s Atma Nirbhar Bharat programme and advised the employees to face challenges with enthusiasm and vigour.

The Minister also launched the sale of HMT Watches on the online Flipkart platform and complemented the management for effectively using the ecommerce platform and being in tune with the changing times.  

Earlier the Minister visited the HMT Heritage Centre that showcases the glorious journey of HMT Ltd and was impressed by the immense contribution of HMT in various fields.

The Minister advised the Management to explore the possibility of establishing an Excellence Centres to train the youth of the nation to develop skills required for manufacturing. He said that the Vision of the Hon Prime Minister for achieving Atma Nirbhar Bharat can be achieved by engineering houses like HMT.
