Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari attends Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations organised by MEA

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari attended the concluding programme and awards ceremony of the weeklong celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav organised by the regional offices of Ministry of External Affairs in Mumbai yesterday, 27 February 2022. A Kavi Sammelan was held on the occasion of the Closing ceremony.
The celebration involving cultural, social and sports event was organised jointly by the Regional Passport Office, Protector of Emigrants, Indian Council of Cultural Relations and MEA Branch Secretariat.
A series of events in the areas of Art, History, Culture, Sports, Literature and Entertainment were organised by Videsh Bhavan during the week as part of MEA’s India@75 celebrations.
Member of Rajya Sabha Shri Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Mumbai’s Guardian Minister Shri Aslam Shaikh, Head of MEA Secretariat Mumbai and Regional Passport officer Dr Rajesh Gawande, Protector of Immigrants Rahul Barhat, Regional Director of ICCR Renu Prithiani, former captain of Indian Cricket team Shri Dilip Vengsarkar were present on the occasion.
The Governor distributed prizes and felicitated poets participating in the Kavya Sammelan organised on the occasion.
Videsh Bhavan is an integrated office of the Ministry of External Affairs comprising four offices viz. Regional Passport Office, Branch Secretariat, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, and Protectorate of Emigrants.
