For funding projects under schemes of Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), State Governments send the duly prioritized project proposals to the Ministry. These prioritized projects then undergo several stages of examination inter alia by Inter-Ministerial Committee at two separate stages for selection and sanction, as per scheme guidelines.

Under the schemes of this Ministry, 11 projects with total sanctioned cost of Rs.86.78 crore are ongoing in Tezpur Parliamentary Constituency. All these projects are at various stages of implementation.  Details of projects as on 30.11.2021 are given below:

In the last three years and current year Ministry has released Rs. 8.74 crore in respect of these projects. The State Government has utilized Rs.11.01 crore (including utilisation from the release made in previous years).

In addition, two (02) projects worth Rs 126.19 crore have been sanctioned under North East Special Infrastructure Development scheme (NESIDS) in Assam for upgrading health facilities to combat COVID-19 pandemic.
