Pre-Matric Scholarships

The Ministry deals with the following Pre Matric Scholarship Schemes in all concerned States/UTs including Telangana:
Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC students studying in class IX and X
The States/UTs are the implementing agency for selection and award of scholarship to all the eligible candidates under the scheme. No direct applications are invited by the Department.
Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBCs and others
Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC and Others is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme and funds were released to the State Governments for further disbursement of scholarship. No funds were released to Telangana State under Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC between 2018-19 & 2020-21,
Pre-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities:
Under the scheme, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) has received 72 applications from the state of Telangana for the period 2018-19 to 2020-21 on the National Scholarship Portal and scholarship has been disbursed to all the 72 beneficiaries.
The Scheme wise and State-wise details of scholarships sanctioned during the year 2018-19 to 2020-21, as reported by the State Governments, is attached as Annexure-I.
