The Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs is organising a Joint Regional Conference on Official Language and Award Ceremony on 22nd October 2021 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, Goa for Central Government Offices, Banks and Public Sector Enterprises in West and Central Regions. Union Minister for Tourism, Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shripad Naik and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Kumar Mishra will attend the ceremony. Secretary, Department of Official Language Sushri Anshuli Arya and Joint Secretary, Dr Meenakshi Jolly will also present on this occasion. Joint Secretary, Dr Meenakshi Jolly informed this today in a press conference. 

To promote the use of Hindi, the Official Language Department organizes four Regional Meetings every year. Due to COVID-19 pandemic the conventions could not take place in the last two years. In the year 2021-22 the first regional convention is taking place in Goa.

The Department of Official Language has launched an online system to submit the reports of the Official Language Implementation Committees to the Department through the ‘Information Dissemination System’. User id and passwords have been given to committees for the said purpose.

At the conference, the award winners who have done an outstanding job in the field of official language will be honored with certificates and mementos.
