The Union Minister G Kishan Reddy will visit Mulugu District, Telangana on 21st october. At around 11:00am the Union Minister will visit the Ramappa Temple and take a tour of the monument. Subsequently at around 12:00 pm he will unveil the world heritage plaque and inaugurate the public amenities at the site.Thereafter at around 1:00 PM he will also interact with the media.

The Ramappa Temple
The Great Living Rudreshwara Temple, popularly known as Ramappa Temple, is located in the village of Palampet, approximately 200km north-east of Hyderabad, in the State of Telangana. Rudreshwara is the main Shiva temple in a larger walled temple complex, which includes smaller temples and Mandara structures constructed under the chieftains Rudradeva and Recharla Rudra. The Rudreshwara temple stands as a unique testimony to the highest level of creative, artistic and engineering talents involving various experimentations in expressive art forms of Kakatiya period (1123-1323 CE).The temple is built of sandstone with decorated beams and pillars of carved granite and dolerite with a distinctive and pyramidal Vimana made of lightweight porous bricks, so-called “floating bricks”.
The Ramappa Temple is the first World Heritage Site from the state of Telangana.
The Thousand Pillar Temple
The Union Minister G Kishan Reddy will also visit the Thousand Pillar Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishnu and Surya. The Union Minister will seek Darshan at the Thousand Pillar Temple at 3:45 PM and from there will leave for Warangal Fort tour.
Warangal Fort
Located in Warangal District, Telangana was the capital city of Kakatiya dynasty and Musunuri Nayakas and has existed since at least the 12th century. The Union Minister G Kishan Reddy will visit the fort at 5:15PM and also attend the light and sound show along with the officials.
Inauguration of Tourism Projects as a part of the Tribal Circuit under SWADESH Darshan
In 2017, the Government of India had sanctioned Rs. 75.88 crores for the integrated development of a tribal circuit of Mulugu-Laknavaram -Medavaram- Tadvai - Damaravi- Mallur - Bogatha Waterfalls. As a part of this circuit the Union Minister for Tourism will begin the day by inaugurating the Haritha restaurant block at Gattama enroute Palampet to inaugurate the World Heritage inscription.
These events will also be attended by various ministers and public representatives of the Government of Telangana and officials of the Archaeological Survey of India and Ministry of Tourism in the Government of India and relevant officers in the Telangana state government.
