Fraud/Phishing messages to BSNL customers – BSNL clarifies

Many of the BSNL customers are receiving fraud/phishing message such as, “Your SIM document verification is pending. Please contact 8xxxxxxxxx. Your service will be blocked in 24 hrs. Thanks RKG”

Or

“Dear custormer, your BSNL SIM card KYC has been suspended. Your SIM card will be BLOCKED within 24 hrs. Call immediately OUR BSNL Customer Care 9xxxxxxxxx. Thank you”.

BSNL is in no way connected with these type of messages. These are phishing type of message to make the customers believe that BSNL is sending such messages. It is requested to ignore such message and Not to Share any KYC data related to customers’ personal & Bank details, according to a press release issued by the DGM (PR), BSNL, Chennai Telephones
