Awareness campaign on Covid Appropriate Behaviour launched by TN Medical Minister Shri Ma Subramanian Event jointly launched by PIB, DPH & UNICEF today

A four-day awareness campaign on Covid Appropriate Behavior jointly organised by UNICEF, TN Directorate of Public Health, Chennai Corporation and Press Information Bureau, Min.of I&B, Govt. of India, Chennai was launched by TN Medical and Family Welfare Minister Shri Ma Subramanian at Tiruvanmiyur Market area in Chennai today.
Ten mini vans with posters and loudspeakers to announce Covid Appropriate Behaviours (CAB) were flagged off by the Minister Shri Ma Subramanian before the event.
These vans will move around crowded residential areas and market places in the city for the next four days during the four-day campaign till July 5th.
As part of the awareness program volunteers will also reach out to the public with key messages to strictly adopt Covid Appropriate Behaviours (CAB) and motivate them to get vaccinated.
Volunteers would also distribute pamphlets to reinforce the message urging people to wear mask, frequently wash their hands with soap, use sanitizer and maintain physical distancing and also avoid crowded places to control the surge of cases.
TN Health Secretary, Shri Radhakrishnan, ADG, PIB, Chennai, Shri M Annadurai, Director of Public Health Dr Selvavinayagam, UNICEF TN Chief Shri Sugata, Dr Arun Kumar, WHO, Dr V. Vijayalakshmi, JD Public Health and Shri B. Gurubabu, Director, PIB, Chennai also participated in the event.
