Chief Minister of Goa Dr Pramod Sawant launched today ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’  and inaugurated Photo Exhibition by Field Outreach Bureau at Azad Maidan, Panaji, on the occasion of commencement of celebrations on 75 years of  freedom.

‘Azadi Ka AmritMahotsav’ aims to build ‘New India’ by remembering the great history of our nation, said Chief Minister. He said that no country can progress without remembering history.

Through this programme new generation will take inspiration from history to build New India. Today India is progressing in all spheres and on the verge of becoming ‘VishwaGuru’, said Dr Sawant. In the difficult times of Covid Pandemic India helped generously to the world, that shows the bright future of India in the global context.

Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant inaugurated Photo Exhibition based on India’s Freedom Struggle by Field Outreach Bureau, Goa. Celebrating 60 Years of Goa Liberation and India @75 is proud moment for Goa, said Chief Minister. Photo Exhibition by Field Outreach is free to all. 

Earlier Chief Minister paid floral tributes at Martyr Memorial at Azad Maidan. The event concluded by Flagging off Cycle rally.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is a series of events to be organized by the Government of India to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence. The Mahotsav will be celebrated as a Jan-Utsav in the spirit of Jan-Bhagidari. The launch of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ 75 weeks before 15 August 2022 which will continue till 15 August, 2023. The day of inauguration of Amrit Mahotsav- March also marks the 91st anniversary of of Dandi march. The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi has asserted that Azadi Amrit Mahotsav means elixir of energy of independence. It means elixir of inspirations of the warriors of freedom struggle; elixir of new ideas and pledges and nectar  of Aatmnirbharta. Prime Minister reiterated five pillars i.e. Freedom Struggle, Ideas at 75, Achievements at 75, Actions at 75 and Resolves at 75 as guiding force for moving forward keeping dreams and duties as inspiration.
