MULTIPLE OPTIONS INTRODUCED FOR SUBMITTING DIGITAL LIFE CERTIFICATE BY PENSIONERS OF EPS 1995

Posted On: 07 NOV 2020 7:20PM by PIB Chennai

In the current scenario of COVID-19 pandemic, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) appeals to the pensioners of Employees’ Pension Scheme 1995 (EPS’95) to avoid rush for submission of Digital Life Certificate. As per fresh guidelines, Jeevan Praman Patra (JPP) can be done throughout the year and will be valid for one year from the date of registration.  The Pensioners who have been issued Pension Payment Order (PPO) in 2020 need not upload JPP till completion of one year.

Like previous years, bank branches can also be contacted for Jeevan Praman Patra (JPP) registration.  Pensioners should carry with them the PPO number, Aadhar Card and Aadhar linked mobile phone.  The pensioners can also approach the nearest Common Service Centers (CSC) for submission of Jeevan Praman Patra (JPP).

In addition to these agencies, the Department of Posts through India Posts Payments Bank has launched doorstep services for pensioners to submit Digital Life Certificate.  Pensioners can contact the nearest Post Office for details.

This is stated in a press release issued by Shri. Rituraj Medhi, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I, Regional Office, Chennai (North) & Regional Office, Chennai (South).
