Works under MGNREGA created 6,51,701 work days in Palakkad district during lock down. The works stopped due to Covid lock down was resumed on 22 April 2020 in the district. It was able to provide works to 66,495 families during lock down.  Majority of the works under MGNREGA in Palakkad district is related to protection of soil and water sources. Strict enforcement of Covid protocols are also ensured during the works.
