The Government has sanctioned 5095 electric buses to 64 Cities / State Transport Corporations for intra-city operation, 400 electric buses for intercity operation and 100 electric buses for last mile connectivity to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) under Phase-II of FAME India Scheme. The number of e-buses allotted to different cities of the State of Andhra Pradesh are as given below:

            The expenditure of nearly Rs. 175 crore for purchase of these buses is being borne by the Department of Heavy Industry.
