MSME ORGANISES ‘VENDOR DEVELOPMENT’ PROGRAMME FOR GANGAVARAM PORT

A specially designed Vendor Development Programme for Gangavaram Port was organised by MSME Development Institute.  Ministry of MSME, Government of India, Hyderabad in association with DICCI, Telangana Chapter and State Bank of India, SMECC, Hyderabad on 02.05.2019 at MSME-DI, Hyderabad for the benefit of SC entrepreneurs of Telangana State.  The main objective of the programme was to facilitate the prospective SC entrepreneurs for setting up of self employment service enterprises in the field of logistics.  The proposal envisages providing logistic services through aggregator to Gangavaram Port by around 100 SC entrepreneurs with a project cost of 44,00,000/- per transport vehicle.

MSME-Development Institute will provide support through preparation of DPR, registration of Udyog Aadhaar, GST registration, Bank Linkage, pursuing of State and Central subsidies and hand holding for setting up of new enterprises.  DICCI Telangana Chapter has come forward to liaison the support services and identifying the beneficiaries among prospective SC entrepreneurs for the innovative proposal.  State Bank of India, SMECC, Hyderabad has come forward to provide the required financial assistance of approximately Rs. 33,00,000/- per one service unit.

The programme was inaugurated by Sri D. Chandra Sekhar, AIA, MSME-DI, Hyderabad, in presence of Sri P. Srinivas, National Head, MSME, DICCI, Sri B. Vaidya, AGM, SMECC, SBI, Sri K. Ravikumar, President, DICCI, Telangana Chapter, Dr. Vijay R. Sirshat, Dy. Director, MSME-DI, Hyderabad and Sri M. Nagaraju, Chief Manager (Sanction), SMECC, SBI 54 Numbers of prospective SC entrepreneurs, officers from MSME-DI and office bearers of DICCI, Telangana Chapter also participated.
