Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan Yojana for Workers work in Unorganized Sector

Government of India, Ministry of Labour& Employment, Labour Welfare Organization, New Delhi has introduced a pension scheme for unorganized workers namely PradhanMantriShram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM) to ensure old age protection for unorganized workers. The scheme came into force from 15th February, 2019across the country through Common Service Centers (CSC).

 

The unorganized workers mostly engaged as home based works, street vendors, mid-day meal workers, head loaders, brick kiln workers, cobblers, rag pickers, domestic workers, washer men, rickshaw pullers, landless labourers, own account workers, agricultural workers, construction workers, Beediworkers, handloom workers, leather workers, audio-visual workers and similar other occupations whose monthly income Rs. 15,000/- per month or less and belong to the entry age group of 18-40 years. They should not be covered under New Pension Scheme (NPS), Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) scheme or Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). Further, he/she should not be an income tax payer.

 

Unorganized workers should be able to enroll through Common Service Centers (CSC), who haveAadhaar Card and Saving Bank Account/Jan Dhan Account number with IFSC. While going to CSC for enrollment, he shall carry Aadhaar Card, Bank Passbook and Initial Contribution amount in cash for enrollment under the scheme.

 

Interested eligible Persons (Unorganized worker) shall visit nearest CSC Centers for further assistance.To find the nearest CSC, please visit locator.csccloud.in.

 

Scheme details and scheme eligibility and process for enrolment, location of facilitation centers/CSC points will be available at LIC Website and Ministry of Labour& Employment website. Beneficiaries may visit facilitation desks at District Labour Offices, LIC Offices, Central Labour Offices, EPF and ESIC offices.

 

 

NOTE : In case of any difficulty/inconvenience while applying, the Unorganized workers may contact any nearest Beedi Workers Welfare/Lime Stone & Dolomite Mine workers Dispensary- Ahmedabad, Sarsa, Borsad, Karkhadi, Vadnagar, Palanpura, Patan, Gadu, Ranavav, Dungarpur Quarry, ChhotaUdepurfunctioning in 11 (Eleven) different location in Gujarat. They may also contact the following officers during office hours :
