State level painting competition to be organized by Central Ground water Board in Ahmedabad tomorrow (22-02-2018)

The Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India organizes three tier Painting Competition i.e. National Level Painting Competition, State Level Painting Competition  and School Level Painting Competition on the themes related to Water Conservation and Ground Water Pollution for the students of 6th, 7th and 8th classes across the Country. The programme is part of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities of the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation which is aimed at inculcating awareness among students  on Water Conservation and Ground Water Pollution.

The theme of this years School level painting competition was “Use water with more care – save our future generation”. In Gujarat and U. T. of Daman and Diu,  more than 23,000 students of more than 400 schools have participated this year at the school level painting Competition and the best three paintings selected by schools were sent to the office of the Regional Director, Central Ground Water Board (CGWB), West Central Region (WCR), Ahmedabad.  More than 1161 paintings were received in the Regional office of CGWB.  50 best paintings of students were selected by a jury.

The selected 50 students are invited to Ahmedabad to Participate in the 8th State Level Painting Competition to be held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial, Shahibaug, Ahmedabad on 22/02/2018. Awards for State Level Painting Competition Carry a cash Prize of Rs. 5000/- for  First position, Rs. 3000/- for Second position,  Rs. 2000/- for  Third position and Rs. 1000/- each to 10 participants as consolation Prizes. 

The First, Second and Third prize winners of the State Level Competition shall be eligible for the National Level Painting Competition to be held at New Delhi during March 2018.
