The Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue Rs. 20/ denomination banknotes in the Mahatma Gandhi-2005 Series. The new batch of 20 banknotes will have inset letter “S” in both the number panels, bearing the signature of Dr. Urjit R. Patel, Governor, Reserve Bank of India. The design of these banknotes to be issued will be similar in all respects to Rs. 20/ banknotes in the same series issued earlier.
