IGNOU Training programme on Food Safety

Thiruvananthapuram, February 16, 2017                                              
The two day training programme on ‘Food Safety: Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) organized by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Regional Centre Thiruvananthapuram concluded today.
 
The first programme of the series was inaugurated by Dr. G. Madhavan Nair, Former Chairman ISRO, Principal Secretary, Dept. of Space, Govt. of India and President ERRC.  On the occasion Dr. B. Sukumar, Director, IGNOU Regional Centre Trivandrum welcomed the gathering. Dr. A. Govindan, Chairman, International Institute for Certification and Training (IICT) briefed of the programme and Prof. G Achuthan Nair, Director, Environmental Resources Research Centre (ERRC) felicitated the participants on the occasion 
The classes were handled by senior professionals in the field who have undergone successful training in India and abroad. Around 100 students and professionals from various disciplines in Bio-Sciences viz., Botany/ Zoology/ Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/ Nutrition/ Agriculture / Hotel and Hospitality Management attended the training programme.
The next phase of the training programme organized by IGNOU Regional Centre in association with ERRC and IICT will be held  on 19th and 20th of this month.
