In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month ("Pink October"), the KRIAA Foundation, in collaboration with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and the Directorate of Public Health (DPH), Government of Odisha, conducted a comprehensive Cancer Awareness and Screening Program at the BSNL Odisha Circle headquarters in Bhubaneswar.

​The morning cancer screening drive was inaugurated by Mr. D. K. Behera, Chief General Manager (CGM), BSNL Odisha Circle, alongside Dr. Sanjay Mishra, Director, Utkal Hospital, and Mrs. Lili Jenamani, Founder cum Chairperson of KRIAA Foundation, in the presence of senior BSNL leadership, officers, staff members, and the KRIAA Foundation team.

​During the afternoon awareness session, Mrs. Lili Jenamani highlighted the core objectives of the campaign, emphasizing that routine health screenings, proactive interventions, and continuous community education form the cornerstone of effective cancer prevention and early intervention.

​The educational segment featured expert technical sessions delivered by distinguished medical specialists:

​Dr. Ghanshyam Biswas, Executive Director at Sparsh Hospital, addressed general oncological risk factors, early warning signs of breast cancer, and modern clinical treatment paradigms.

​Dr. Sony Nanda, Assistant Professor in the Department of Gynaecology at Acharya Harihar Post Graduate Institute of Cancer (AHPGIC), Cuttack, spoke extensively on cervical cancer prevention, reproductive wellness, and the essential role of timely HPV testing.

​Complementing the academic sessions, specialized clinical consultations, clinical breast examinations, and diagnostic HPV screenings were administered on-site by Dr. Sanjay Mishra and Dr. Swetalina Mishra. Nearly 100 individuals—comprising BSNL employees, members of the Telecom Women’s Welfare Organization (TWWO), and their families—availed themselves of the comprehensive diagnostic services.

​The program concluded with an interactive Q&A forum, followed by formal notes of gratitude delivered by the CGM of BSNL Odisha Circle, the TWWO President Mrs Mamata Behera and Secretary Mrs Gyatri Mallick, and the core organizing team.
