For Mr. Ankush Karande of Kalwa, Thane, Maharashtra, the journey towards self-reliance began with an entrepreneurial dream and the determination to turn it into reality. With financial support under the NSFDC Term Loan Scheme, he was able to establish his own footwear business and build a stable source of livelihood.

Mr. Karande came to know about the NSFDC scheme through a newspaper. Recognising the opportunity to start his own enterprise, he applied for financial assistance through the LIDCOM.

On 30 August 2024, he received a loan of ₹3.75 lakh, which enabled him to set up a footwear shop at Court Naka, Thane. With hard work, dedication and sustained efforts, his business has grown steadily and is now running successfully.

Today, Mr. Karande earns a gross monthly income of ₹30,000–₹40,000 through his business. The financial assistance provided under the NSFDC Term Loan Scheme has helped him establish an independent livelihood and move towards greater economic self-reliance.

Expressing satisfaction with the support received through the scheme, Mr. Karande credits the financial assistance with helping him realise his entrepreneurial aspirations and establish a stable source of income.

The National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) continues to support aspiring entrepreneurs through financial assistance, enabling beneficiaries to pursue sustainable livelihoods and take steps towards self-reliance.
