Department of Fisheries Reaffirms Commitment to Swachhata and Good Governance under Special Campaign 6.0

The Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, along with its subordinate offices and autonomous bodies, will actively participate in Special Campaign 6.0 from 2nd to 31st October 2026. The campaign, being undertaken in accordance with the guidelines of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), aims to institutionalize Swachhata and promote efficient office management through reduction of pendency, improved record management, optimal utilization of office space, and systematic disposal of scrap and e-waste.
Building upon the significant achievements of Special Campaign 5.0 conducted in October 2025, the Department has resolved to further strengthen its cleanliness and administrative reforms initiatives during the current campaign.
Special Campaign 6.0 will be implemented in two phases, comprising a Preparatory Phase from 16th to 30th September 2026 and an Implementation Phase from 2nd to 31st October 2026.
As part of the preparatory activities, a hybrid review meeting was convened on 17th September 2026 by the Department's Nodal Officer with representatives of all subordinate offices and autonomous bodies. The meeting focused on finalization of action plans, target setting, conduct of cleanliness drives, reduction of pendency, strengthening of record management practices, and effective disposal of scrap and e-waste. Emphasis was also laid on robust monitoring and timely reporting to ensure successful implementation of the campaign across all offices.
Through its active participation in Special Campaign 6.0, the Department reaffirms its commitment to institutionalizing Swachhata, enhancing workplace efficiency, streamlining office processes, and fostering a clean, organized, and citizen-centric work environment.
