DMA Records Significant Progress in Swachhata and Disposal of Pending Matters

Following a nationwide Special Campaign 5.0 on Swachhata in October 2025, the Department of Military Affairs (DMA) has organised 329 Swachhata campaigns between November 2025 and August 2026. During this period, a total of 18,255 files were reviewed and 8,688 files were weeded out.
To sustain the momentum beyond Campaign 5.0, the Department issued directions to all attached and subordinate offices to dedicate two hours every week to Swachhata-related activities. DMA is currently making efforts to achieve the objectives of Special Campaign 6.0, which is scheduled to be conducted from October 02 to October 31, 2026.
During the Special Campaign 5.0, the three Defence Forces carried out cleanliness drives at 5274 identified campaign sites. 455 rules/processes were simplified by various organisations under DMA and a revenue of Rs. 41.6489 crores was generated from the disposal and sale of scrap. In respect of Record Management, 7,18,898 physical files were reviewed and 9602 files were weeded out.
