The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, through Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), has launched the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027, a nationwide youth engagement initiative aimed at encouraging young citizens to contribute their ideas and perspectives towards the vision of Viksit Bharat.

The Viksit Bharat Quiz, launched as the first stage of the initiative, is open from August 17 to September 30, 2026. MY Bharat Goa has appealed to the youth of the state to participate in the quiz and take part in the nationwide initiative.

The VBYLD 2027 will provide young people with opportunities to showcase their knowledge, ideas, leadership skills and innovative thinking through a series of stages.

The first stage is the Viksit Bharat Quiz, an online quiz available through the MY Bharat portal. Participants who qualify will move on to the Viksit Bharat Essay Challenge, scheduled from October 5 to 19, 2026, where shortlisted participants will submit a 500-word essay on the designated Viksit Bharat theme.

The third stage, District Championship, will see the top 50 essays from each district shortlisted for an in-person presentation round from November 10 to 16, 2026. In the fourth stage, selected youth will present their ideas before a jury at the State/UT level, with the national round scheduled from November 17 to December 7, 2026.

The final National VBYLD will be held in New Delhi from January 10 to 12, 2027. Selected youth will get an opportunity to present their ideas, with regional finalists getting a chance to present before the Prime Minister.

MY Bharat Goa has urged young people across the state to participate actively in the Viksit Bharat Quiz and become part of the initiative. The programme seeks to encourage youth to move beyond being beneficiaries of development and become active contributors and partners in India's journey towards Viksit Bharat.
