106th Internal Finance Committee Meeting of CCRAS Held at Itanagar
Committee Reviews Research Programmes, Institutional Development and Future Initiatives to Strengthen Ayurveda Research

The 106th meeting of the Internal Finance Committee (IFC) of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) was held today at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI), Itanagar. The meeting reviewed various ongoing research and development programmes, institutional initiatives, infrastructure development and future priorities of CCRAS aimed at further strengthening scientific research in Ayurveda and allied sciences.
The meeting was chaired by Shri Satyajit Paul, Senior Statistical Advisor, Ministry of Ayush. Prof. (Vaidya) Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General, CCRAS and Member Secretary of the Committee, presented the agenda items and apprised the Committee of the Council’s major achievements, key initiatives and significant accomplishments.
The deliberations focused on strengthening research and development activities, institutional capacity, infrastructure and effective implementation of various programmes. The Committee also emphasised the importance of ensuring that advances in Ayurveda research translate into improved healthcare services and wider access to Ayush-based healthcare for the people.
The meeting was attended by Dr. A. Raghu, Advisor, Ministry of Ayush; Dr. Santosh Kumar Bhatted, Professor, All India Institute of Ayurveda; Dr. Vivekanandan Kalaiselvan, Secretary-cum-Scientific Director, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission; Shri Amrendra Singh, Director, IFD; Smt. Vijaylakshmi Bhardwaj, Director, Ministry of Ayush; Shri Deepak Kochhar, Deputy Director (Administration), CCRAS; and Dr. Pratap Makhija, Director (Institute), CCRAS, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Ayush and CCRAS.
The Chairperson and Members of the Committee appreciated the progress made by CCRAS, particularly in the areas of research and development and the 100 per cent utilisation of funds during the last financial year.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on advancing scientific research, strengthening institutional collaboration, ensuring timely implementation of programmes and expanding the reach of Ayush services. The Committee reiterated the importance of translating research outcomes into meaningful benefits for public health and society.
