Mumbai, 3 November 2025

Shri E. Satya Kumar Phani has assumed the additional charge of Regional Executive Director (West-I), NTPC, with effect from November 3, 2025. He will hold this responsibility along with his present roles as Executive Director (DRC) and Chief Executive Officer (UPL).

A power sector professional with over 35 years of experience, Shri Phani holds a degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and an MBA in Human Resource Management from IGNOU, New Delhi. Joining NTPC on February 28, 1989, as an Executive Trainee, he has contributed extensively across diverse functions in power generation and project management.

He has served at NTPC Corporate Centre–EOC, Ramagundam, Lara, Vindhyachal, and as Regional Executive Director, West-II Region. Known for his strategic leadership and people-centric approach, Shri Phani has driven operational excellence, sustainability, and employee engagement across NTPC projects.
