Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (GVY) is implemented by the Union MSME Ministry to create sustainable employment for rural unemployed youth to improve their skills and traditional entrepreneurship. Under the Scheme, Khadi & Village Industries Commission provides improved tools / kits / machinery / support & services and training to enhance income and production.

The age of beneficiaries must be between 18 and 55 years. After completion of training, Govt. certificate, improved tools/kits/ machinery will be provided to start the enterprise. Selected beneficiaries will have to submit an undertaking for the maintenance of the machinery, tools and equipments provided to them. Preference will be given to persons belonging to SC/ST, BPL categories and also to women, widows of defence personnel & para-military forces, militancy affected families and surrendered naxalites / extremists / militants.
