Union Minister of Communication and DoNER Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia visited NEDFi office in Guwahati on 27^th July, 2024 and attended a meeting  with CMD Shri PVSLN Murty and senior officials of the organization. The meeting included a detailed presentation and an audio-visual documentary on NEDFi's initiatives, including their micro-lending activities and the North East Venture Fund (NEVF).

                                                                      

Shri Scindia commended NEDFi for its significant contributions to the economic development of the North East Region (NER). The occasion was also marked by the presence of Shri Ashok Singhal, Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs and Irrigation, Government of Assam.

An interactive session with few Startups promoted by NEDFi under North East Venture Fund and artisans supported by NEDFi CSR initiatives was also organized where the Minister had discussion and interaction with the startups and artisans. The Minister also interacted with few industrialists and representatives from FINER and Laghu Udyug Bharti. 

                                                                      

In the same occasion Shri Scindia presented 5 investment Commitment Cheques to the startups under North East Venture Fund (NEVF) totaling Rs. 5.42 crore. Additionally, cheques worth Rs. 1.80 lakh were disbursed to two beneficiaries under the NEDFi Micro Lending Scheme. The Minister also visited a special exhibition-cum-display of  products made by artisans and startups supported by NEDFi and appreciated the crafts and other products of NER.

                                                                      

Earlier, the  Shri Scindia planted a tree under Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam in the NEDFi premises.
