Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office, Nagpur to bring Kargil Victory Saga to Students and General Public
A two-day multimedia photo exhibition has been organized at VMV College on July 26 and 27
Retired Air Vice Marshal Suryakant Chafekar and Retired Major General AP Bam to be the chief guests at the two-day event

On July 26, 2024, Kargil Vijay Diwas will mark its 25th anniversary. In honor of the brave soldiers who led India to victory with their valor and courage in this war, the Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office, Nagpur, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, along with VMV Commerce, JMT Arts, and JJP Science College, Wardhaman Nagar, have organized a two-day multimedia photo exhibition on the theme 'Kargil Vijay Diwas - Silver Jubilee' on July 26 and 27, 2024, at the college premises.
At the inauguration ceremony on Friday, July 26, at 10:30 AM, Retired Air Vice Marshal Suryakant Chafekar (Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Shaurya Chakra) will be the chief guest. The ceremony will be presided over by Mr. Yogeshbhai Patel, President, Nagpur Gujarati Mandal, and Mr. Saurabh Khekde, Field Publicity Officer, Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office, Nagpur; Dr. Abhay Mudgal, In-charge Principal, VMV College; and all the college's teachers, staff, and students will be prominently present in the function. After the inauguration, there will be painting and elocution competitions for the students.
Major General AP Bam to Inspire
On the second day of the event, Saturday, July 27, the concluding session will be graced by Retired Major General AP Bam (Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal), who will inspire the students with his powerful thoughts. The session will be presided over by Advocate Mr. Sanjaybhai Thakar, General Secretary, Nagpur Gujarati Mandal. Prizes will be awarded to the winning students of the painting and elocution competitions by the guests.
Exhibition of Rare War Photographs
The photo exhibition will showcase rare photographs related to the Kargil War and provide inspiring information about the soldiers, including Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra, who sacrificed their lives, as well as the weapons and equipment used in the war. The exhibition will be free for all students and citizens. Mr. Saurabh Khekde, Field Publicity Officer, Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office, Nagpur; Dr. Abhay Mudgal, Principal of the college; and Dr. Seema Pandey, Coordinator of the college's cultural department, have appealed to all students and citizens to take advantage of this exhibition in large numbers.
