Additional Secretary Ministry of Textiles Shri Rohit Kansal yesterday said, Bharat Tex 2024 will provide tremendous opportunities for all clusters to come together and tell the world what makes them successful.  He was speaking as the Chief Guest of an informative roadshow held at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai to create greater awareness among the textile community regarding India's most anticipated textile event, Bharat Tex 2024. He mentioned that Bharat Tex 2024 will provide tremendous opportunities for all clusters to come together and tell the world what makes them successful. He also emphasized that the Bharat Tex event is an ambitious effort which has never been attempted so far in the history of Independent India as far as textiles are concerned. He sought the support of the textile industry to build not an individual brand, not an individual element of the value chain brand, but to build Brand India in textiles.

Organised by a Consortium of 11 Textile Export Promotion Councils and supported by the Ministry of Textiles, the roadshow in Mumbai, set the stage for the grandeur that awaits India's upcoming biggest textile expo ‘Bharat Tex’ scheduled from 26th – 29th February 2024 at Bharat Mandapam and Yashoboomi, New Delhi, India.

The roadshow showcased the richness and diversity of India's textile industry with the presence of the entire textile value chain including domestic retailers like Spykar, Shoppers Shop, Jinny Johny among many others.

The roadshow successfully built anticipation and awareness for Bharat Tex 2024 in the state thereby updating the textile fraternity about the opportunities that can be leveraged through Bharat Tex 2024.

The dignitaries at the roadshow included the Secretary Textiles, Government of Maharashtra Shri Virendra Singh, Trade Advisor Ministry of Textiles, Ms Shubhra.

On behalf of the textile sector, Textile Secretary Government of Maharashtra Shri Virendra Singh, urged the textile industry to go through the State’s well documented integrated and sustainable textile policy. He mentioned that a lot of emphasis has been given on recycling, circularity, sustainability and also inclusive growth. He said that the Government would reach out to the industry in an unprecedented way to make Maharashtra the most preferred investment destination in the times to come and also urged the members present to participate in Bharat Tex.

Bharat Tex is poised to be a game-changer, bringing together industry leaders, designers, delegates, buyers and textile enthusiasts from across the globe to celebrate the excellence and potential of India's vibrant textile sector. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration, the expo aims to propel India to the forefront of the international textile market.

Bharat Tex 2024 will be a historic showcase of Apparel, Home Furnishings, Floor Coverings, Fibres, Yarns, Threads, Fabrics, Carpets, Silk, Textiles based Handicrafts, Technical Textiles and much more. The event will strongly highlight sustainability and recycling in textiles, resilient global supply chains and digitisation through thematic discussions and interactive displays, fabric testing zones, product demonstrations and masterclasses by craftsmen, an art jugalbandi and a marque event involving global brands and international designers.
