Central Bureau of Communication along with CISF, Guwahati organises 3-day Multimedia Exhibition at Sector 1, Noonmati

Exhibition on Freedom Fighters of Northeast and 9 Years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan held in Guwahati

An exhibition where one can see the valour and saga of bravery of our freedom fighters from close quarters, has began in the sector 1 ground, Noonmati, Guwahati from today. The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional office, Guwahati has organised a three-day long multimedia exhibition and awareness programme from today till 3rd September, 2023. The exhibition is organised in association with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Guwahati to create awareness among the youth about the sacrifices of the Freedom fighters of the nation, especially the Northeast and the schemes and initiatives of the Government in the last 9 years. The exhibition displays more than 40 panels on Freedom fighters of North East and 9 years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan.
Inaugurating the exhibition, Chief guest, Smt. Neelima Rani Singh, DIG, CISF, Guwahati said that, “It is great to see that the Central Bureau of Communication, Guwahati has been organising these exhibitions and educating the people about the Unsung heroes of the Northeast freedom struggle. We can see many heroes on the panels displayed in this exhibition which we were unaware of. I urge the students to come forward and learn about these freedom fighters and their bravery towards the nation. I can say that a new, progressive India awaits where the sacrifices of our brave Freedom fighters inspire and motivate us.”
Addressing the students of various schools, Smt. Jane Namchu, Additional Director General, NE Zone, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, said that, “We remember and celebrate the unsung heroes of freedom movement of the country; we have achieved freedom because of their valour and bravery. I hope the students can learn about our brave heroes of the Independence struggle.”
Also present on the occasion, Guest of Honour, Shri A. K Biswas, General Manager, IOCL, Guwahati said that, “There are many schemes and initiatives of the Government which can help people towards better lives. I applaud CBC, Guwahati’s efforts in making these schemes household topics of discussion in rural as we as urban areas.”
Shri Harish Bhandari, Deputy Commandant, CISF, Guwahati was also present in the inaugural ceremony. Smt. Hiramani Das, Field Exhibition Officer, CBC, delivered the welcome address in the event. Other officials and staff of CISF, Guwahati and CBC, Guwahati were present in the event.
An arms and weaponry show and dog show by CISF and self-help group stalls were also part of the attractions of the Exhibition.
More than 400 students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Noonmati, Noonmati Public School, Refinery High School and Sankardeva Vidyalay, Noonmati participated in the programme. The Departmental artistes of CBC, Guwahati performed an array of cultural programme on this occasion.
The three-day exhibition will organise various competitions including open quiz, art competition, patriotic dance competition etc. among students.
