The proposal was received from Government of Kerala to waive off the proposed 25 per cent of State of Kerala’s share of land acquisition for two projects of NHAI i.e. (i) Ernakullam Bypass (ii) Kollam-Shenkottai. The reply for the same has been sent seeking inter-alia certain exemption from the State Government. The reply from Government of Kerala has not been received yet.

Government of Kerala has agreed to share 25% cost of land acquisition amounting to Rs.5748 Cr for 16 ongoing projects on NH-66, out of which Rs.5581 crore has been deposited. Further, Government of Kerala has also agreed to share 25% cost of land acquisition, amounting to Rs.4440 crore for upcoming three Greenfield NH projects. The details of road projects are Annexed. State Government has agreed for sharing of 50% cost of land acquisition, 100% cost of service road and exemption of State GST & royalty for Thiruvananthapuram Outer Ring Road section of NH-866. The agreement has not been signed.

During the last 5 years, around 160 km of NH has been constructed by NHAI in the State of Kerala.
