Kendriya Vidyalayas from across Maharashtra see enthusiastic participation in painting competitions held in the run up to ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’

In an attempt to allow students to connect with their creative side and de-stress before exams, a nation-wide painting competition was organised in 500 Kendriya Vidyalayas on the occasion of ‘Parakram Diwas’ in the run up to ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023’. The theme of the competition was about becoming an 'Exam Warrior' based on the book written by the Prime Minister.

Kendriya Vidyalayas across Maharashtra also participated enthusiastically in organising this competition. Twenty Kendriya Vidyalaya centres, in different parts of the state, invited 100 students from surrounding schools as participants in this competition. Five best entries from each centre were awarded with a set of books on freedom fighters and topics of national importance and a certificate. The competition saw diverse participation of students from class nine to twelve from various CBSE schools, State Board schools, Navodaya Vidyalayas and Kendriya Vidyalayas.

Speaking about this unique initiative, Captain A. K. Kukreja, an educationist who was invited to judge the competition at Kendriya Vidyalaya 3, Colaba, Mumbai said “It is very important to speak about stress. Such initiatives give students an opportunity to express their fears and anxieties through art”.

“A connection to art in education enables balanced growth of children”, expressed Arjun Machiwale who was also a judge for the competition at Kendriya Vidyalaya 3, Colaba, Mumbai. The students of course, were thrilled that their schools had given them an opportunity to take a break from their routine studies and immerse themselves in art, even as their exams were fast approaching. The event gave an opportunity to students to relax, unwind and emote themselves on canvas.

competition was organised on the backdrop of the 6th edition of Prime Minister’s interaction programme with school students, teachers and parents - Pariksha Pe Charcha. “Pariskha Pe Charcha 2023” will be held on 27th January 2023 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi conceptualized this unique interactive program - wherein students, parents, teachers from across the nation and also from overseas interact with him to discuss anxieties related to examinations and life after school. event seeks to help in overcoming stress in order to celebrate life as an Utsav. For PPC 2023, students, teachers and parents have enthusiastically participated in big numbers from State Boards, CBSE, KVS, NVS and other boards. Students from over 150 countries, teachers form 51 countries and parents from 50 countries have registered for PPC-2023.
